Body weight

The Matrix ‘AIR’ plug and IEC connectors, made from solid Brass, are heavy, and the weight is twice that of a standard plug and connector (14.6 to 30.8 grams) Also, the internal connecting screws are Rhodium plated, like the external contact areas and also Cryo treated. The outer body is Carbon Fibre and plugs offer a higher level of performance

Matrix construction

The Matrix AIR, available in two or three-meter lengths, made of single cores placed in separate isolation. This solution is better than standard cables such as the ‘strand’ type because electrons flow without interruption, rather than jumping from strand to strand. And the undesirable effect of moving electrons from strand to strand results in the loss of subtle information. The most significant benefit of this technology is the equal current distribution throughout the cable cross-section.

Research

Research has shown that low frequencies run faster inside the guide, and higher frequency signals on the surface. Thanks to this knowledge, the power cable includes a special bass conductor of 1.10mm dedicated for low frequencies. Also, a bundle of 170 x 0.15mm (dedicated to mid and high frequencies), we obtain a more balanced, dynamic sound with a controlled and precise bass. Additionally, the conductors are twisted with each other, eliminating interferences and resulting in a more detailed and lucid sound.
