And depending on the result, I might introduce it to the Perkune range of audiophile cables.

Down under as that was the best!

Down under

Will we ever forget those good times, those memories that every once in a while somehow float back up to the surface?

This is one of those pictures that keeps coming back to me and I think it is because of the memories that I have of Australia when a visited it a few years ago.

Why this particular picture you may ask and I will reply - well why not?

The Russian translation means god of sound so what better can there be the god of the sound of thunder so what better name could there be for my cables?

Please follow this link and you will see what I mean.

Tannoy 15″ Challenge OB/300 liter

Challenge

Tannoy makes some of the world’s best speakers or “Drivers” and they are called. One of the most interesting drivers that TannoTannoy y ever made was the Tannoy GRF Memory and so we decided to have a Challenge.

The drivers had been mounted in the Open Baffle configuration and were placed in my listening room and set up using our own cables and system set up techniques. It took a lot of time to actually position the drivers because Open Baffle is not the same and you have to allow for the correct placement to get the best bass response.

Old or new amplifier so which is the best

Old or new?

This is a question often grundig vintage amplifierasked in the audio world but there really is no answer because it is just personal preference.

When I started listening to music in the 70’s, I had a Leek valve amplifier and loved the sound it produced. When I played my guitar, it was through a Vox AC 30 valve amplifier and again I loved the sound it produced. Valves are really beautiful and they give so much realism and life to the sound.
