Solar power - what a breakthrough!
Solar power is perfect for improving the sound quality in your audio system and is something that we have been working on for the past few months. (For more information on solar power click here)
We have a portable package that is easy to use and has many applications.
The package consists of a solar panel and a briefcase. The briefcase contains a battery, a transformer, a regulator and a power board. The package is very easily put together and the result is good clean power.

Portability
Today, a person is very mobile and likes to visit different places during their vacation and weekend breaks. Many people like to go camping, tenting, canoeing, hiking and boating to name but a few. A person always carries a mobile phone and a laptop amongst other items but one of the problems has always been how to charge.
Power
The original idea was to develop a package that could be used anywhere and was able to supply power to drive different items but also to have a reasonable life before a recharge was necessary. If more storage is needed then it can be quite easily done by adding another storage battery.
If a quicker charging rate is required then it is very simple just to add a second solar panel to the system. It all depends on how quickly that you want to charge the batteries up. We found that a single panel with a single battery took about five hours to charge and a single battery with two panels took only two hours to charge. We found that a single panel with a single battery took about five hours to charge and a single battery with two panels took only two hours to charge.
Audiophile system
Good clean power is one thing that an audiophile is always trying to get and to get this power can cost a large amount of money. An audiophile knows how much better the sound will be and now we have the option of solar power.
The picture on the right is showing how the unit is supplying power to run two items. The amplifier and a CD player are being supplied from the battery and the battery is being supplied by one solar panel.
When the Solar panel was disconnected the system ran for just over three hours which was a very good time and this could quite easily be doubled by the addition of another battery.
The sound
I will say one thing about the sound when using the power from the battery to power the amplifier and the CD player - WOW! The sound had a really noticeable difference. Everything was cleaner and the background was black. I think the biggest thing was the smoothness of the sound because it had no rough edges. Now there is a way to make your audio system sound better because this unit can be easily installed in your home and fitted into your existing system.
This is my test system which are 300 litre cabinets housing Tannoy 15′ 3818 Drivers and the sound is just something else!
There are just so many uses now for the Solar power and for something really interesting please click here

I love the mobility of your system, I am living at river cottage at the moment and think that the ability to take a power source with you like down to the river a run a sound system is just awesome. It will make for some idyllic summer days. By the look of your images, it comes packed in its own case, which is a real plus for carting it around but also storing the unit.
Hi Alaxander
Yes it is a great little unit and I can run a light
MacBook and also a guitar amplifier all in the middle of nowhere
which is all good fun!
Best regards
