I started my audio journey when I was 7 years old, then my parents walked me to the musical school, where I started learning to play with a trumpet. Later on, on my 12th birthday with some of my friends, we started to play as a young group with guitars and drums, some experimental stuff, And so I am writing this Bowers and Wilkins 702 S2 article.
When I finished the musical school and left my Hometown, I was very missing that live, real, emotional sound… So time by time I was building my audio setup, And at the moment consist of:

The speakers are wired with “Audioquest Castle Rock ” speaker cables.Integrated amplifier and streamer “Hegel H390 ” powered by “Perkune Reference ” power cable and streaming signal getting from “Perkune reference CAT 7″ ethernet cable. DAC “Denafrips Pontus II ” powered by “Audioquest Monsoon ” power cable and attached to amplifier with “Audioquest Niagara RCA ” pure solid silver interconnects. The Power conditioner “Audioquest Niagara 1200” powered by “Audioquest Thunder” power cable. Also, Linear power supply “SBooster MK2” for ethernet router and fed by “Audioquest Blizzard” power cable.
Attention
Anyone who uses Bowers and Wilkins 702 S2 speakers knows that they will immediately show the system’s shortcomings. So need to be careful with setup. Therefore, the amplifier, sound source and all connecting cables must be of good quality. All that system was sounding fenomenal at my home, here in Vilnius, until… I had an opportunity to try the newest Matrix PRO from Perkune audiophile cable which I got directly from Paul.
System
And now my system with the Perkune power cable on My Pontus II DAC sounded just perfect. I even can turn the volume knob louder, and feel no fatigue at all, and even hear more from the music. I have listened to a lot of other famous brand cables – Audioquest, Nordost, Futuretech, Wireworld, Cardas, Oayde and atc., and all of them are good at some points, but all of them add or take something from the music. So that’s why I like Perkune cables, because they do not take anything from the music, and give all the emotions as it is in a recordings, all small details, big soundstage, space and air, without being thin, bright or harsh. You just want to listen more and more!
Conclusion
I have to say that overall the tonal balance is really perfect. Very calm and smooth sounding, with really beautiful detail. My system sounds powerful and dynamic, and I realise just how good my Bowers and Wilkins 702 S2 speakers are. One other point is that I found the system also sounded better after Paul helped me to position everything correctly. This only took about an hour but results impressive!
