About twenty years ago, I took my first steps into the world of high-end audio, and that’s when everything changed. And so the Pursuit of Perfect Sound began!
I realised there was so much more to sound quality than I had ever imagined. I began to appreciate the nuances of audio and how the right equipment could elevate the listening experience. It was a revelation—one that opened my eyes (and ears) to the world of audiophile power cables, loudspeaker cables, interconnects, and power supplies.
The Pursuit of Perfect Sound
As I delved deeper into the hi-fi world, I invested heavily in high-end components: amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, turntables, CD players, DVD players, loudspeakers—you name it. Like many audiophiles, I found myself constantly upgrading, swapping, and tweaking in the endless quest for the ultimate sound. One day, I started questioning why I was spending so much money on cables. Could I make them myself? The idea seemed ambitious, but would try.
From Passion to Creation
Twelve years ago, I began my journey to create my own audiophile cables. I visited cable manufacturers, tested countless materials, and researched what it took to construct cables that could meet the demands of high-end audio systems. After months of experimentation, I successfully built my own power cables, loudspeaker cables, and interconnect cables. To my delight, they not only worked but exceeded my expectations in performance.
A Brand is Born
Word quickly spread among my audiophile friends in Lithuania. One of them, a doctor, insisted that I bring my cables to the market because they were that good. Encouraged by their feedback, I started selling my cables and learning the ropes of building an online presence.
I needed a name for my brand, and I found inspiration in Lithuanian mythology. Perkūnas, the god of thunder and sound, seemed like a fitting symbol for the power and clarity I wanted my cables to represent. I anglicized the name to “Perkune,” and on June 15th, 2015, Perkune Audiophile Cables was officially born.
A Decade of Excellence
The journey since has been nothing short of amazing. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless audiophiles achieve better sound.
