New video and the first one

Video production is something that I have been interested in for many years and this is a picture of me when I had small a video production studio in Canada many years ago. It was a very interesting experience for me and I certainly learned so much and really enjoyed working with this media.

Lights, action, camera those magic words. I have heard them and even said them quite a few times. It’s all part of the magic of the movie world I know but like everything the technology has brought us further forward so it becomes very easy to make a New video today than it did twenty years ago.

The Project

I have recently been asked by a few people why I did not have a video on Youtube about my cables because this is what people are now expecting.

I always want to keep my customers happy and so I thought what I I do to keep it simple and also a fun thing at the same time so I thought that as a picture is better than a thousand words as the saying goes I would simply do a series of pictures. I think that definitly a series of pictures is much better to relate to than a video of myself trying to talk you through the process of making a cable.

I have taken some of the pictures that I had on my laptop of my cables and using the Apple iMovie program simply joined them together with a few effects. I have put in some titles and information so was quite easy. One of my friends made me a beginning that he made up just for fun and sent it to me. I think he will be surprised that I have now actually put it all together and will be interested to hear his comments.

The music was something that I did on my guitar a couple of years ago with the Apple Garageband program and it seems to work ok.

This is the guitar that I used to make the soundtrack a couple of years ago and it is a Burns Marquee built in 2002 and one of the best models they made. I have had a few of the later date models but I sold them as they were just not as easy to play as this one is.

The gentleman playing the guitar is a friend who was visiting me last week and he really knows how to play properly!

The result

I finally put everything together and then had to learn how to share the video and what to do to get it ready. I did not realize that it took so long for the computer to do everything that was necessary and I kept trying to make it work but to no avail.l When it was ready which was an hour late it just popped up a message that said you have successfully posted your video on Youtube

Next, it was learning how to post on Facebook and Facebook business and this took a bit of hair pulling but I was able to do it. I was very pleased to actually have my first video on Youtube and face book. Next, the youtube gave me the option to share with many other sites and so after doing this my video was live to the world.
