Improve your Website with a plugin
I have a website that I have been able to improve in many ways and I would like to share with you one of the plugins that I use. This plugin has made it possible for me to take my website to a different level.
The plugin that I use is for my SEO is called YOAST. This is an amazing plugin and I personally think this is the best SEO plugin available.
I have been using this plugin for the past few months and every time an update is available it just gets better.
I really love this plugin and the best thing is that it is the free versions and it does everything.
How to add the Meta description
The first thing is to check that you actually have the page correct. If you look at the picture below you will see it says “Yoast SEO” but nothing else.
What you have to do is click where it says “Yoast SEO” and then the SEO page opens and you click on the “edit snippet ” and this is what you will see.
You can now put in your Meta description and the line is green. this means the word count is good. Close the snippet editor and it will bring you back to this page.
How to get “all green”
The first Step is to choose a title. The title I have chosen is ” Best way to set up Yoast plugin”. I am also going to use the keyword “Best” and I have put the keyword “Best” into the focus keyword position.
The second step is to copy the title. Move your mouse over the heading button and pick heading 3. Click on your title and paste so your title now appears as a subheading.
Hit the return tab and this will bring you down to the next line wich will be your paragraph. Paste the title as the first line of the paragraph. I have just added the words “so you will get all Green is as follows –”
You now have the title, the subheading and the first line of your paragraph. I have added a read more tag and put it underneath the line. I have added a subtitle that I have called “The first step” which is heading 5.
Now we have the main title in H1, the subtitle in H3, the first line of your paragraph in paragraph setting also a read more line and a subheading in H5.
Scroll down and it says no images appears on this page. Scroll up to the Add media box and select an image.
This is the image I have used and you must make sure that the alt tag says the keyword which is “Best”
This is a picture that I had spare but you can use anything you want when you write your blog text,
Scroll back down and it says no outboard links appear so what you need to do is add an outboard link so I have chosen the word Media. I have used Wikipedia and the word Media and so I now have an outboard link.
Permalink
Make sure the permalink has no stop words and remove if necessary.
Publish
Please check all your spelling and also use Word to check everything is correct and when all is good go ahead and publish.
