How to build a website and how to make your website better is something you have to learn and unlike many people think building a website takes a very long time.

When you are building a website you must ask yourself why do you want to build a website. Also, you must ask yourself what will my website be used for.

Why to make a website

I have learned from my past experience the best way to tell a story is from true events. My story starts about a year and a half ago when the industry in which I was working slowed down and so I had to fine an alternative source of income. I spent weeks contacting people I knew and also began to search for work using the internet.

It was during the internet searching that I learned about internet marketing and read many of the stories for different companies and so decided to join one of them. I soon found out that this indeed was a scam and got out of it as quick as I could. For some reason, I tried another company and found out that it was again another scam so got out as quickly as I got into it.

I had learned a few things by now and realized that a website was the way forward and I must find the right way to do it. It took me another month of sitting in front of my laptop reading articles and doing company comparisons and I was on the point of giving up. Right in front of my eyes a page had open up that showed my where I should and so I followed this lead.

How to make a website

The lead took me over to Canada and to a company who has been operating for over fifteen years and so I knew that this was not a Micky Mouse operation. I joined the company because it was free to join and they said the training was free and I could build my website for free. This seemed just too good to be true but I was on my last legs so to speak and it was now or never. I did everything as quickly as I could and went through all the training.

I had so much help and support I think that upon reflection it really was impossible to fail and I was very proud of what I had achieved over a very short space of time. My website was alive and out there for people to see and I felt on top of the world and there was no stopping me now. I went to the next step with the company which meant paying 19 USD a month and this allowed to have my own website name and website address and I thought that this was the only way to go. I was then able to expand my website in many ways and I was able to develop my Website to how it is now.

How to improve your website is all part of the learning curve and I have added many plugins to help improve your website. I have added which I think are the best ones so you can try and maybe you will like them as well. I could tell you all the ins and outs but it is better that you try yourself.

Search engines

The best and biggest search engine is Google and then Yahoo/Bing is a very close second but I think the search engine called Yandex is somewhere in the middle. Yandex is a Russian search engine and very powerful and many people are unaware of it. Yandex is really very easy to set up and us, just the same as Google and Bing with the webmaster tools. https://www.yandex.com

Social networks

The most well known Facebook but in some cases there are others that will draw more traffic to your site and one of the best available is Flipboard. Flipboard is an electronic magazine and all you do is add your posts and pages in the same way that you do on your Website site - https://flipboard.com/#!. There are a few others social networks which give very good traffic and shares, one of which is Blogger - https://www.blogger.com/ and another good social site is Stumbleupon - http://www.stumbleupon.com/
