The question always asked by the Audiophile and many people who are passionate about Hifi and Hi-End sound is ” How to get a better sound “?
Since 1960, I have been involved with music and audio equipment. It all started in my mother’s kitchen by using her cleaning bowls as a drum kit, which was only done when she went out to work! The next step was when I “borrowed” my father’s acoustic guitar (which he kept tucked away in the broom closet) but again only when he was out and Slowly learned to play it.
At school, I made my first electric guitar (which was a copy of the famous Fender Stratocaster) and formed a group called ‘Paul and the Educators’. The Headmaster was on drums, the fitness instructor rhythm guitar, the drama master playing bass and I played lead guitar. The performance was great and we had standing ovation!
After leaving school I served a four-year apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronic Instrumentation, which gave me an excellent background in the basic understanding of the industry. I also formed my own group (as most of us did in those days) and was fortunate to meet and play with some great artists who are still with us today. about me
My direction changed and rather that play the music I began to work with live mixing and studio recording. I was always able to get a great mix and had the ability to create a musical picture. The positioning and re-positioning of audio equipment in the listening room came naturally to me and was always ready to help friends set up their audio systems and paint that musical picture.
In 1970 my life changed when I lost the urge to become rich and famous. I joined the Oil and Gas industry which was a tremendous challenge, but at the same time very rewarding and allowed me to keep up with my passion, high-end Audio but little did I realise how this would eventually lead to what I am doing now!
At the beginning of 2015, the oil and gas industry became very slow which told me the industry wanted a rest and many things began to change in my life. I live in Vilnius, Lithuania and at the end of 2015; I became friendly with a group of Doctors who were all Tannoy Loudspeaker enthusiasts. My new friends were always trying to get the best sound from their audio systems and when I was able to show them my ‘System Setup’ technique they were impressed to say the least. I began experimenting with audio cables and eventually found something that really sounded amazing and one of my Doctor friends advised me to get a name for my cables and bring them into the marketplace. My friend said because my cables sounded so good, every Audiophile needed to know they were available. This was “Doctors orders” so to speak and then by some twist of fate, I found a Canadian company with whom I was able to create a website and my journey began!
How to get a better sound
System in Lithuania
This is a system that I set up in Lithuania and is a very high cost, Hi-end system. This system was very easy to set up because it is on wheels and it only took a couple of hours. I must say that it was an amazing improvement in every way and the gentleman who owned the system and myself are now good friends. The system sound was improved at a later date by the addition of my loudspeaker cables. To read the full review please click here
System in Poland
This is a system in Poland that was set up via email. The system is a basic Hifi system and is at the lower end of the Audiophile scale. After the system had been set up the sound of the system improved in every way and again the owner was very pleased with the results, in fact so please he ordered a set of my loudspeaker cables and this was the icing on the cake!
System in London
This is a system in London that I set up and we were able to improve the sound of the system by using the system set up technique. We were able to improve even more by replacing the amplifier. This was done on two different visits because the customer ordered a set of power cords but now knows just how good his system sounds! You can read these and other customer comments by clicking here
The cost of your system
It does not matter if your system costs 100,000 Euros; 20,000 Euros or 2,000 Euros, the basic principle is the same. If you want to know How to get a better sound then all you have to do is follow these simple steps
First step – Take a picture of your system when you are sitting in your listening position and send the picture to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Second step – This is where the fun begins, as it will involve moving your speakers around. But in most cases only a few inches and sometimes it can be less!
Third step – This is the fine-tuning stage with angle adjustments. Normally it will take two or three emails and then you will then be able to hear your system, as it should be heard and in some cases it has been up to 30% better! How to get a better sound
